As much fun as Chef Mickey’s can be over at Disney’s Contemporary Resort, there is another delicious breakfast option for those who want something more calm and relaxed. Steakhouse 71 is one of Disney’s newer dining options, opening just last year in 2021. Taking the place of The Wave, Steakhouse 71 opened as part of Disney’s 50th Anniversary Celebration and pays homage to the year that Walt Disney World opened its doors. While the steakhouse is a delicious option for either lunch or dinner, it also offers some breakfast specialties for all the early risers eager to get to the parks. Some of these specialties include meals inspired by Walt Disney himself! For example, The Steakhouse 71 Feast includes just about everything you could ask for from a Walt Disney World breakfast. Of course, that means it has to come with a Mickey-shaped waffle. Other items included with this dish are eggs benedict, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, bacon-cheddar grits, breakfast potatoes, and fresh fruit. Another Walt specialty is Walt’s Prime Rib Hash, which is seared prime rib, fried potatoes, caramelized onions, and peppers topped off with a fried egg. If neither of these dishes sound like they’re for you, then there are plenty of other traditional options to choose from. If you want something simple, then you can go for two eggs with breakfast potatoes and your choice of meat, or one of their three omelet options: veggie, western, or ham & cheddar. If the eggs benedict from The Steakhouse 71 Feast sounded good to you, then you can order the classic two poached eggs on top of an english muffin, with canadian bacon and hollandaise sauce. You can also go with the Floridian Eggs Benedict, which is two poached eggs and crab cake with hollandaise on top of toasted english muffins. If you came to a steakhouse wanting steak, then look no further than the Steak and Eggs. This dish includes two eggs any style, breakfast potatoes, and a 4-oz filet mignon with béarnaise sauce. The plant-based option on the menu is their Avocado Toast, which includes avocado, toasted multigrain bread, and caramelized onion jam. Lastly, Steakhouse 71 offers seasonally-inspired pancakes that are always changing with the calendar. Just last week, we enjoyed some blueberry lemon ricotta pancakes with our choice of bacon, pork sausage, or chicken sausage (we chose bacon!). Steakhouse 71 definitely offers plenty of variety when it comes to their breakfast entrées. If you came to Disney wanting a classic Mickey waffle, it’s there. If you came to a steakhouse wanting steak, it’s there. If you want some of the best bacon-cheddar grits you will ever have, they are most certainly there. While there are also plenty of alcoholic drink options available in the morning like the Tequila Sunrise or Steakhouse Bloody Mary, there is a drink that the restaurant offers which does not appear on the menu…POG Juice! Over the years, this passion-fruit orange guava drink has grown in popularity for people of all ages at locations such as Boma and ‘Ohana. Guests at Disney’s Contemporary Resort can now just head downstairs to Steakhouse 71 if they want to enjoy the delicious refreshment. All you need to do is ask your server, then you will be moments away from one of the hardest to find juices in all of Walt Disney World. It will pair perfectly with your pancakes, prime rib hash, or steak and eggs. Let’s be honest, it will pair well with anything here. Not only is the juice delicious, but the breakfast options at Steakhouse 71 are some that you will not want to miss!
