EPCOT World Showcase Spotlight: France

Each pavilion in EPCOT is somebody’s favorite. They all have unique things to offer and over the past couple of years, one in particular has grown far beyond just a quick stop in EPCOT’s World Showcase. The France Pavilion is one of the most popular locations in the entire park, which is easy to see if you have ever tried to ride its feature attraction, Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure. Not only is there so much to do in World Showcase, but there is just so much to do in France alone. As difficult as it may be to pick just a few recommendations, it is not hard to start with that brand new attraction, Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure. Making its grand opening back in 2021, the 4D ride experience showcases some of Disney’s newest technology and creates an immersive experience for the fan-favorite Pixar film. Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure allows guests to join Remy in his favorite place, the kitchen, and are given the perspective of a fellow rat to make everyone feel like they are really scurrying across the floor with him. It is adorable, tons of fun, and great for the whole family. Since Remy loves his food so much, it is only fitting that France is also home to some of the best dining options in all of World Showcase. One recommendation that also happens to be on the newer side is La Crêperie de Paris. Not only can you get some savory galettes in a nice and peaceful environment, but you can also opt for something on the sweeter side with their various crêpes that feature fruit, chocolate, whipped cream, and a whole lot of other goodness. If you can’t manage to grab a reservation for this sit-down experience, then right beside it is Crêpes À Emporter by La Crêperie de Paris. The quick service option serves up some of the delicious galettes and crêpes that you can also find inside the restaurant. While there may be no seats, you can take your galette or crêpe to-go as you explore more of what France has to offer. After you are finished eating and need some time to digest, look no further than the Beauty and the Beast Sing-Along. This 15-minute show features some of the greatest hits from Beauty and the Beast and allows you to take a nice rest inside a French cinema. The show runs daily from 8:30 AM to 6:00 PM, with another great show in Impressions de France taking over from 6:30 PM to 8:45 PM. Clocking in at 18 minutes, this show is just as enjoyable and relaxing as you get to explore the beauty of France from the comfort of your theater chair. While there are surely plenty of more stops you can make in the France Pavilion, none of them will cap off a perfect EPCOT day quite like some ice cream from L’Artisan des Glaces. Your sweet tooth is sure to be satisfied with their wide range of desserts, with classic ice cream flavors only being the tip of the iceberg. Where else can you get cinnamon caramel apple ice cream in homemade brioche? That, and so many more combinations and delicacies can be found at this quick service location. Not only will you be coming back to France to try more of this ice cream, but you will be coming back to explore even more things that you can do in this fantastic pavilion. Whether it's enjoying some dessert, dining at a delicious restaurant, or taking a spin on Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, spending a few hours in EPCOT’s France Pavilion will certainly be a highlight of your great day in this great park.
