Navigating throughout Walt Disney World is truly an adventure in itself. The amount of possibilities in the most magical place on earth is endless and there is never really a dull moment. Luckily for visitors, someone who knows all about endless adventure decided to create a place where one can relax with a cold drink. Located over at The Landing in Disney Springs is Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar. Jock Lindsey is the pilot of one Indiana Jones, so he knows a thing or two about traveling the world and most definitely needing a break. The bar is a casual dining experience where you can simply walk up and request a seat. That’s right, you do not even need a reservation! While this spot can get pretty busy later in the night and especially on weekends, it is the perfect place to take a breather during the day as it opens right at noon. Since it is a bar after all, plenty of drinks are available all day and it may take a few minutes to read through the entire menu and make your decision. Some of our recommendations include the Fountain of Youth, Jock’s Citrus Old Fashioned, and even the Poisonless Dart if you are looking for something non-alcoholic. The Kungaloosh Spiced Excursion Ale is also served here, which is a special drink created for Walt Disney World that is only available at a select few locations. If you’re looking for something to munch on with your drink, then Jock Lindsey’s offers some pretty amazing apps to fuel you up for the rest of the day. For all the Star Wars (and Temple of Doom) fans out there, the Club Obi Wan Chicken Wings are a delicious choice to enjoy alongside your drink. They can be tossed with Shanghai BBQ, Bird’s Eye Chili, or St. Augustine Datil Pepper Sauce, and are served with lime sour cream. Last time we sat down at Jock Lindsey’s, we tried the Shanghai BBQ and it did not disappoint. Wings may not be the most unique choice, but these are some of the best you can find in Walt Disney World. Another recommendation for something to share with your table is the Air Pirate’s Cargo Loaded Pretzel. Picture a charcuterie board, but served with a giant and delicious soft pretzel. The appetizer comes with cheeses like smoked cheddar and black diamond cheddar, meats like prosciutto, sliced brats, and artisan pepperoni, some caraway pickles, and even spicy mustard and beer cheese to dip that pretzel in. There is a lot going on, but in the best way possible. One of the best choices to share amongst a large party is most definitely this Air Pirate’s Cargo Loaded Pretzel. Other appetizers that might catch your eye at Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar are the Snakebite Sliders, Nonna’s Home-style Meatballs, and Doctor Astorga’s Queso Fundido. There are even various flatbreads and tacos you can order, if you haven’t already filled up on those chicken wings. Disney Springs is obviously full of great dining options that you may or may not already have on your radar. Even if you go in without a reservation, there are plenty of delicious and just awesome places to go. If you ever find yourself in The Landing and either need to grab a seat or escape the rain, then Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar is the perfect spot for you. Grab a drink, maybe even an app, and don’t just revel in the adventures of Indiana Jones and Jock Lindsey, but revel in your own adventure as well.
